Overview

This department aims to prepare students for business life by enabling them to develop optimal analytical thinking and problem solving skills, applicable for employment both in national and international companies. The process of logistics involves not only internal operations (such as supply, transportation within the business, and stock management) but also the role of the middlemen and supporting companies in international trade. Being globally competitive depends on the effective management and integration of the product, material and capital, with the services and flow of information within the business. Customer satisfaction has also become an essential component of the modern business world. The goal of logistics is to deliver the right product, at the right time, to the right place, in the right quantity, and for the right cost, in an excellent and flawless condition. This requires specialised knowledge of logistic management, as well as a staff resource of logistic managers, who are highly competent and skilled. The basic aim of this department is to train students to become qualified candidates for management positions. Students will also become fluent in more than one foreign language. In addition they will have the opportunity to take part of their education at a European university under the EU Life Long Learning and the Erasmus Student Exchange Programmes. Internships are also encouraged for students to gain experience of business life within the sector.

All students are trained with the knowledge necessary to prepare them for an exceptional career. In addition to the basic courses in economics, business administration, information technology and law, students are also offered courses, which include the principles of logistics, supply chain management, marketing, logistic planning, product storage, risk management in transportation and insurance appliance, quality management and non-profit logistic management.
